Fashion Trend Alert: Embroidered Velvet Shawls And Peplum Shirts
This year has came along with a lot of new trends and fresh designers as well. The young designers are not only creating new masterpieces, but also modifying and urbanizing the old traditional trends that our mothers and grandmothers used to rock back in the 70's and 80's.
As they say, years change but traditional fashion always makes a comeback! Same happened this year and in the past year. Peplums paired with ghararas are back with a bang. Urbanized with intricate embroidery and exuberant colors, the new designers did us proud with their recent work.
From wedding functions to red carpet walks, the peplum craze is everywhere. Different materials are used to make them in accordance to every occasion and we are amazed. The ghararas on the other hand are solely made for special events. From the poofy fabrics to some awesome net material, they are the talk of the town.
For brides this season, embroidered velvet shawls have made an entry. Yes! Wearing a gorgeous maroon or even black velvet shawls with intricate embroidery and appliqué work is what the new trend says to follow. Not only shawl adds a certain character to the look, but also gives a regal touch to the whole bridal experience.
As for color schemes; shades of gold, taupe, variations of red, lilac and off white are very much in trend these days. The can either be contrasted or glammed up with embroidery as per your choice.
